| Road conditions in China are far from what
most people are used to and they call for a different maintenance
scheme. Here are some of our recommendations:
1,Tires: Still jumping around on your Yellow Sea or Beijing
Tire Factory tires? Did you notice how hard a collision with
a pothole feels? Ever imagined what it does to your shock
absorbers? These local tires have the following disadvantages:
a. Made of hard rubber that easily tears or punctures.
b. Emergency stops take longer.
c. Uncomfortable driving.
d. Very easy to slip during wet road conditions.
e. Kills your shock absorbers
Get a set of Goodyear, Michelin or Hankook tires, properly
balanced; you¨ll be driving a new car.
Other:
1.Petrol: Cherokees have engines that designed for 97 or
93 unleaded petrol. You will burn your valves in the longer
run. Use 93 unleaded instead and if you see a pump that has
leaded petrol fill her up immediately since the valves of
your engine are not really made for unleaded petrol.
